Numeos is a mental-arithmetic app. It works completely without an account, and it has no advertising, no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs that collect anything about you. This policy describes the only data it handles, and the two things it deliberately does on your phone alone: the tutor, and the subscription that unlocks it.
Nothing leaves your device. Your puzzles, streak, saved cards, daily goal, feed difficulty and topic choices are stored locally on the phone and are not transmitted anywhere. There is no account, no identifier, and nothing for us to see. Deleting the app deletes all of it. The tutor and its subscription, described below, work in this state too; neither needs an account.
Signing in is optional. Its only purposes are to carry your progress to a new phone, to place you on the global leaderboard, and to let you belong to a group and play its league. Sign in with Apple is the only sign-in method offered, and Numeos never handles a password.

One part of the league is deliberately never stored: lobby chat. In the ten minutes before a match, the members of a group can talk in the lobby. Each message is checked against the same filter as names and then relayed live to the members present, and it is never written anywhere, not by Numeos and not by its hosting provider, so it cannot be read later, by us or by anyone. The only copy that survives is the text of a message you choose to report, which travels with your report and is kept as a moderation record.
That is the complete list. Numeos does not collect your name, contacts, location, photos, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, health data, browsing activity, or anything else. There is no advertising, no analytics and no tracking of any kind, and nothing is shared with anyone beyond the hosting provider named below, and Apple, which handles the tutor's subscription the way it handles any App Store purchase, as described under Subscriptions.
On Supabase, which hosts the database and authentication on our behalf. Data is transmitted over HTTPS and access is enforced per-account at the database level. Supabase acts only as our processor and does not use the data for its own purposes.
Until you delete it. There is a Delete account control in the app under Account. It removes your account and everything stored against it: your profile and display name, your progress, your quiz records, your league answers, your group memberships, the accounts you had blocked and the reports you had filed, immediately and permanently. There is no waiting period, and no confirmation email is sent because there is nothing left to send it about.
Two things deliberately outlive the account, and it would be misleading not to say so. If somebody reported your display name, the report keeps that name as it stood when it was filed, because a moderation record that a rename can erase is not a record. And a group you created carries on under whoever is still in it, keeping the name you gave it, because the alternative is that one person leaving destroys a season for twenty-nine others. A group whose last member leaves is deleted outright.
You can also simply sign out, which leaves your progress on the device and removes nothing from the server, or delete the app, which removes the local copy and leaves the account untouched.
On an iPhone with Apple Intelligence, the solution sheet offers a tutor: tap Ask AI and Apple's on-device model re-explains the card's own steps in plainer words, and then answers whatever you ask about that card. It runs entirely on your phone. The puzzle, its steps, your questions and the answers are never sent to Numeos, to Apple, or to anyone else, and the tutor works without an account and without a connection. The conversation is held only while the sheet is open and is stored nowhere; closing it ends it. It can be wrong: it is re-telling the steps shown on the card, and those steps are the answer.
On a phone without Apple Intelligence the sheet says the tutor is not available, and nothing is offered for sale.
The tutor is unlocked by an auto-renewable subscription bought through the App Store. Apple handles the payment, the renewal, cancellation and refunds, against your Apple Account; Numeos never sees your payment details and keeps no record of the purchase on any server of ours. Whether you have the tutor is read from the phone itself, through Apple's own StoreKit, which is why it works offline and on a new phone signed into the same Apple Account. The price and the term are shown before you subscribe. You can cancel any time in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions, and the tutor keeps working to the end of the period you paid for. Deleting your Numeos account does not cancel a subscription, because the subscription belongs to your Apple Account, not to your Numeos account; cancel it in Settings. Apple's standard Terms of Use apply.
Reminders, an hour before a match or a daily puzzle at a different hour each day, are off until you turn them on. They are scheduled by the app on your phone itself: there is no push service, nothing is sent anywhere to make one fire, and your reminder settings stay on this device. Turning them off in the app or in iOS Settings ends them.
Numeos is suitable for all ages and collects nothing beyond what is listed above. There is no photo or file sharing, and no messaging anywhere except one place: the ten-minute lobby before a group's match, where the members of that group, and nobody else, can talk. Lobby chat is filtered before it is relayed, never stored, and every message can be reported or its sender blocked on the spot.
Three pieces of text are written by users and seen by others: a display name, which appears on the global leaderboard and in group tables; a group name, which the members of that group see; and lobby chat, described above. All three are checked against a filter, all three can be reported from inside the app, and any account can be blocked so that its name no longer appears on your leaderboard and its messages no longer reach you You can leave a group at any time from the group’s own screen. Reports are read at the address below and offending names are removed by hand; there is no automated review, and no promise of a reply.
You can see everything stored about you inside the app, change your display name at any time, and delete everything with the Delete account control. If you would prefer a copy of your data by email, or have any question about this policy, write to the address below.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted in the app.
